What does a man really need?

Picking out the absolute essential accessories for yourself can be a difficult task. There is simply too much information to take into account. What is a good price to pay for a high quality watch? How to define high quality accessories? What are the essential accessories without going overboard? The questions go on and on...
In this article you will finally find out what the accessories you really need as a man are.

     1. A Good Watch

    Forevus - Eternity Brown Leather

This accessory is obvious enough, yet it is absolutely awful to look at men wearing watches that look like giant plastic bricks. At the same time it is also sad to see men paying a fortune, due to branding, for watches that will only last for a few months.

A good watch has a good ratio of style/quality & price.

    Things to look for:

    • 5ATM water pressure - this is the absolute bare minimum. From this point onwards it means that the watches are water proof, not water resistant. Honestly, it is humorous to see that most popular brands (like MVMT) sell watches that are 3ATM. This means they are only water resistant and can not even be worn while taking a shower. You should go for 10ATM water pressure. This is a good point to be at. It means the build quality of the watch is high enough to last you a long time. Read more about it here.
    • Stainless steel casing
    • The glass panel of the watch - again, most fashion watch brands sell watches with panels that are low quality, they are easily scratched. You don't want that when making an investment for a good watch. The panel should be either hardened mineral glass or even better - sapphire.
    • The movement - in my opinion, this comes down to personal preference, some people only wear automatic watches. I personally like quartz movement more (batteries), because this means I don't have to have any extra accessories for my watches to keep the batteries charged for the few days that I am wearing another watch. The battery based movements last for a few years before the batteries need to be changed and they are also generally cheaper. Either swiss or japanese miyota movement is fine, really. Swiss has the prestige that comes with it and is generally more reliable, but it does not make a huge difference.

    2. A Matching Bracelet

    matching bracelet

A matching bracelet can make all the difference in your wrist game. The watch and the bracelet you choose work in collaboration to bring out details in each other, which at often times can make your style look out of this world.

But, as with watches it is difficult to pick up the right one, it might prove to be a challenge to find good bracelets that have a good mixture of price and quality.

    Things to look for:

    • Matching style - the bracelet you wear has to match with your watch/your outfit. If you don't match them properly, it will just end up looking awkward and clumsy. The bracelet should have similar colours to the watch.
    • High quality - you don't want to wear bracelets that are made of plastic/other low quality materials. You should look for natural beads/leather. Ensure that any metals used are high quality.
    • Good price - most jewellery for men are really overpriced. It is possible to get high quality bracelets at a really good price (under £30-40)! You can take a look at Marssos' bracelet collection.

    3. High Quality Sunglasses that complement your face

Sunglasses should be something that last you for many years and what a lot of people don't seem to understand... they have to match your face. Or, you will just simply look far from handsome.

Sunglasses are a seasonal product, but you never know when you will be needing them for an unexpected trip and it is always good to be prepared early for summer.

    Things to look for:

    • High quality - the sunglasses should not be made from cheap plastic and lenses that get scratched instantly the moment they touch sand. They should also be polarised, which provides the maximum protection against Sun's UV rays.
    • The frame shape of the sunglasses - You need to choose the right sunglasses that complement your face.

    4. A Leather Belt

This accessory is really important. It is a finishing touch to a nice outfit. The belt should always match your shoes (in terms of colour) and your shoes should match your socks. In addition to style, it has a functional purpose which is obviously keeping your pants up.

    5. A Solid Wallet

Sometimes it is quite embarrassing to see a man trying to buy a drink for a girl by taking out their wallet that looks like it is at least two decades old and will crumble to dust soon. A wallet is the place where you store your money, your ID and credit cards, treat it accordingly. It should be made of high quality leather along with the personally preferred functionality. Most importantly, it should be replaced around once a year (depending on the amount of use). Generally, wallets receive an unexceptional amount of use and abuse which causes them to wear down quickly.
